Anne Tyler (born in Hennepin County, Minnesota October 25, 1941) winner of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction (Breathing Lessons) and two-time Pulitzer Finalist (1983 - Homesick Blues and 1985 - Accidental Tourist), winner of 1985 National Book Critics Circle Award (Accidental Tourist), winner of The Sunday Times 2012 Award for Literary Excellence (for Lifetime Achievement)
